Jie Liu

刘  劼

个人简介


刘劼博士在清华大学自动化系取得学士和硕士学位,在加州大学伯克利分校(University of California, Berkeley)取得电气工程和计算机科学(EECS)博士学位。从2001到2019年刘劼博士在施乐帕克研究中心、微软研究院(总部)和微软智能云平台部门工作。曾任微软研究院首席研究员、公司合伙人和研发总监。他在物联网与智能感知、移动与边缘计算和智能计算物理系统方面发表过120余篇论文(H指数68),其中6篇曾获顶级学术会议的最佳论文奖。他申请和获批了100余项专利,其中60余项已获批。在学术研究之外,他还成功孵化了微软商业智能产品并领导了环境智能研发团队,并指导了数家高科技初创公司。在清华期间曾获得学生最高荣誉的优秀学生特等奖,在伯克利获得蔡绍棠奖(Leon O. Chua Award),在微软获得金星奖,2021年荣获IEEE TCCPS的杰出领导力奖。刘劼博士是IEEE Fellow、ACM杰出科学家、ACM杰出演讲人和清华企业家协会(TEEC)会员及ACM SIGBED CHINA发起人和主席。

刘劼博士在计算机控制学科指导博士生。他作为联合导师或委员会成员在卡耐基梅隆、约翰霍普金斯、UIUC、ETH等名校联合培养了7名博士。他指导的60余名实习生中,有之后的伯克利、UVA、普渡、北卡等名校教授,谷歌、微软、阿里等公司研究员,初创企业创始人等,其中不乏Slone Research Fellow, MIT TR-35等杰出人才。

刘劼博士是物联网和混合信息物理系统领域的顶级国际会议,ACM/IEEE Cyber-Physical Systems and IoT Week和ACM/IEEE IPSN的指导委员会主席,曾任ACM SenSys的指导委员会委员和主席,曾任多个相关国际会议的程序委员会主席和总主席。任ACM Transaction on Sensor Networks、IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing等期刊的副主编。

智能感知和混合现实事业部于2018年3月成立,由Hololens,认知服务,语音语义和环境智能部门整合而成。是微软云+AI平台事业群的六大支柱之一。其中环境智能是将感知,融合和AI技术用于增强工作、学习和商业环境的智能化的产品平台。产品定位于新零售,智能制造和安防等应用场景。采取平台开发和解决方案并行的研发模式。
主要职责包括制定产品战略,领导技术创新,把控工程进展,协调用户方案。核心科技包括物理环境中的计算机视觉,多传感器融合,基于大数据和机器学习的人员识别,人员跟踪,行为识别,物体识别,物理知识图谱,和相应工作流程的集成。
